Meet Your consultant

Anthony “AJ” Negrelli

Anthony is proud to bring Clay Bridges to life, after 13+ years in renewable energy projects and corporate sustainability. A native of Huntington Station, New York, Anthony grew up woodworking with his grandfather, and has always embraced the core values of hard work, empathy, and kindness. With a Bachelor's degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a brief period as a cadet in the Air Force ROTC, and time abroad at the Technical University of Denmark, Anthony learned his professional passions thrived beyond the borders of New York.

Anthony entered the offshore wind industry working at Siemens Gamesa, as a deputy project manager on the 573 MW Race Bank offshore wind farm. In that first sustainability role, Anthony oversaw the delivery of 91 wind turbines, ensuring that the bill of materials and change orders were cost-effectively managed during fabrication and construction. For the next three years, Anthony served as an international consultant, supporting permitting, contracting, construction management, and operational auditing in the U.S., and beyond.

In 2020, Anthony joined Attentive Energy as their lead supply chain manager. As the central point of contact for the project’s economic strategy in New York and New Jersey, he originated key non-profit relationships, resulting in three novel program proposals totaling $27.4M. These initiatives focused on grant funding for small, minority, woman, service-disabled, and veteran-owned businesses. It was this experience that inspired Anthony's leap to consulting, so he could continue supporting the development of underrepresented businesses in underserved communities.

Anthony’s passion for sustainable economic development knows no bounds. Whether it is overseeing clean energy project construction, or providing guidance about the nuances of global procurement, Anthony approaches all prospective work with a thoughtful attitude and an enthusiasm to support his clientele. With a unique ability to navigate supply chain tiers, while creating a friendly, supportive network of business professionals, Anthony can help you face complex business challenges head on, and find your niche within the industrial market.

a unique name

Clay and Bridges has several layers of meaning that are close to the heart and bring the story of our firm full circle.

Anthony always looked up to his grandfather, "Opa", and knew that the values imparted onto him would be carried along in every aspect of his life, personally and professionally. As Anthony's first entrepreneurial venture, Clay Bridges pulls two locations in the U.S. that hold special meaning to his relationship with Opa. CLAY PITTS ROAD in East Northport, New York is where Anthony learned the value of hard work. Whether it was woodworking, gardening, or riding the John Deere, the whole family had big smiles on their faces as this quality time defined the 1990s. TWIN BRIDGES, California was the long time summer getaway for Opa. His father-in-law was an engineer for Shell and built a log cabin at Lake Tahoe, secluded in the mountains, and a serene place to breath the mountain air and appreciate the beauty of our natural environment. Clay has a historical significance in supply chains.

In Mesopotamia circa 4000 BC, clay was discovered to be incredibly versatile due to its plasticity. By mixing clay with water, it could be molded into bricks, sun-dried, and used for the construction of temples and city walls. Clay enabled Mesopotamia to flourish and led to incredible structures such as the Chogha Zanbil, one of the few remaining ziggurats in the world. If you think about this from a resource availability perspective, clay was an early example of localized supply chain!

Think about the role small, local businesses play in creating strong, reactive supply chains. Industrial projects need goods, materials, and services on-time and of high quality to stay on schedule. As the world economy fluctuates, this is the opportunity for buyers to return to the grassroots of their business model and cultivate the strengths of the communities in which they work. The only way to harness the power of community is by building bridges!

Clay Bridges is an appreciation for the local resources we need to thrive in a sustainable, developing community. Opa's values lead us with a thoughtful attitude and eagerness to support individuals and businesses as they look to grow beyond their current form.
